A diaspora of at least 16,000 Cook Islands citizens live in Australia, including in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

Since 2015, the New Colombo Plan has supported more than 228 university students to study in the Cook Islands. The New Colombo Plan is an Australian Government initiative that aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.

Our aim is to work with the Cook Islands community to field a team in the AFI World Cup, an event which is held annually in Melbourne. The format of the World Cup is 9-a-side, mixed (men & women) and non-contact.

If you are of Cook Islands descent and keen to represent the Cook Islands, please join the Team Cook Islands Facebook group.
