Australia has a close relationship with Vanuatu. Australia is an important economic partner for Vanuatu, providing the country with the majority of its tourists, foreign direct investment and aid. There is also a significant resident population of Australians (approximately 3,000).

Australia has had a High Commission in Port Vila since Vanuatu declared independence in 1980. The Vanuatu Government established a High Commission in Canberra in 2012.

Our aim is to work with the Vanuatuan community to field a team in the AFI World Cup, an event which is held annually in Melbourne. The format of the World Cup is 9-a-side, mixed (men & women) and non-contact.

If you are of Vanuatuan descent and keen to represent Vanuatu, please join the Team Vanuatu Facebook group.
